Weekly Inspiration #12

Hey every beautiful person in the region,

How many of you have gone through a day and came across a human identifier? We all know what these are...(jock, prep, random girl with short hair, skater etc...) well these aren't important! you know why? because these people may, indeed, make these names for you but that just doesn't matter, because the only person who's opinion that you should worry about is your own. In fact unless I'm HORRIBLY mistaken, it is your own life and you can take control and not care. Like in the famous Green Day song, " It's something unpredictable but in the end is right, I hope you have the time of your life." And these are true works of wisdom because we don't know what could be around the corner or whom. This does not mean you shouldn't enjoy every second, and discover how your Christ Self wants to express its self.

Extra- Extra: This is the regional news coming to you live from Hannah's Bed room, and our special guest for this evening is Rosco the Friendly Lion. He wants to remind everyone to continue on reading I or the Storm by : Gary Simmons. Also for those of you that would like to take up in some leadership at your chapter there is TWO things you could potentially take part in!!! One being the Leadership Training at Camp Duncan on March 23-25. The second, you can apply to be a YOU Staff Member for the spring Unitreat. If you have any questions on either of those two activities, feel free to ask Michael or myself, but most importantly your sponsor.

Namaste,
Hannah :)

Your Spiritual Milk n' Cereal: When I first saw the bumper sticker that reads : TOLERANCE made with many different symbols, I was confused. I thought, "why do we just want to tolerate things instead of accepting them?" Well after thinking for a while on this I realized that I cannot accept everything that goes on in life. I have different views than other people so I cannot just give up my own views to accept theirs; however I can tolerate it. Dictionary.com defines Tolerance as: a fair, objective, and permissive attitude toward opinions and practices that differ from one's own. Sometimes this can be easy to do, especially when we have similarities in our beliefs. The hardest part of tolerance is tolerating others that will not tolerate you. You can try and explain your views to other people but if they do not have the intention of at least tolerating your ideals, then it is very hard for them to do that. The one thing we can do to help prevent this is to tolerate others and know that it will be mirrored back to us in some form.
Regional News: Hello beautiful YOU! The Regional Team is getting together next week to do some planning, very exciting! Also we are putting on a lesson in Renaissance Unity. Any Regional Candidates that have not yet notified us should do soooo....ASAP! Thank you and have a woooonderful week

Weekly Inspiration:
Hello Beautiful YOUers, lets just start with a deep breathe in, and out. in and out. This time of the year can be a wonderful experience. We all get a chance to visit family and friends all in the spirit of Christmas. In my experience, everyone views Christmas time a little differently. Some see it as an opportunity to get what they have been begging for all year. Others may just be there to enjoy the company. There are also people that rejoice and celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. Anyway you look at it it is a fun time for all. So enjoy the eggnog and presents but never forget that at any time in the year you have a family there for you. Whether its related by blood, or Unity.

Quotation: That my best friend and I can do anything or nothing and have the best time!- many, many people Smile
Something to think about: Do you remember the retreat Come Out and Play (if you were there of course)? It was all about getting together with your friends and having fun! We played games, painted our faces, it was great! One of the underlined ideas I got out of that retreat was that even the little simple things can be the highlight of your day. you dont necessarily neeeed all the things we have in our lives to have fun. Really the fun is within you, and it makes you happy when you get a chance to express that. It can be through video games or facebok, but it can also be when you go swimming or running or playing an insturment. I know everyone knows this but the problem that we have occasionally is that we forget that. Sometimes we can confine ourselves to one thing and it can end up taking over the majority of our lives. Life is a journey, so lets mix it up a little!

Weekly Inspiration:

They are back! Although now they can be more easy to take in!

Enjoy!

Something to munch on!

A strong person knows how to keep their life in order.
Even with tears in their eyes, they still manage to say "I'm ok" with a smile.
Though being strong is a blessing it doesn't mean that you have to hide behind that mask you can express your Christ self even with the tears. You are a true child of God and are allowed to be vulnerable when you have to be. Let it shine.
