Weekly Inspiration
by Shelby Breidenbach, Regional Candidate

As teenagers, there are so many things going on in our lives. We are stretched between school, jobs, family, Y.O.U., sports, clubs, friends, and the list only continues.  As if all of these things on our plate aren't enough, we are constantly bombarded with the question, "what do you want to do with your life?"  This leads to many more questions about what we enjoy doing, what we're good at, and sometimes to "what is our purpose in life" and "how do we find it".  But, we need to remember that we are co-creators with God.  Our purpose is not something to be found. It will not suddenly appear before you one day and yell "here I am!"  God's purpose for us is to be happy and joyful. As far as career paths go, we create our own future.  No one is going to hand it to us.  This also means that there is literally an entire world of possibilities.  Just stay true to who you are, don't try to conform to something that you are not, and find whatever it is that brings you happiness.  Those things that brighten your day are a part of who you are. With all of this craziness all around us, we have to make time for ourselves and do those things that bring us joy. Without this, it becomes much easier to allow ourselves to be consumed by the craziness.

Weekly Inspiration #27

A quote for thought: Alice came to a fork in the road.

Alice came to a fork in the road.  "Which road do I take?" she asked.
"Where do you want to go?" responded the Cheshire cat.
"I don't know," Alice answered.
"Then," said the cat, "it doesn't matter."
~Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland

This Quote brings me back to last June's Theme. We discussed setting a course for our lives. It also brings up the thought that: sometimes we dont have a course. If we dont have our sails positioned for a certain direction, we may as well be lost. It doesnt matter what we do if it isnt doesnt with an intention behind it. Setting intentions will not only direct our thoughts and actions but also make us feel more confident in what we do.

Regional News: Hannah, myself, and Eileen planned further steps in June during the unitreat last weekend! We are growing ever so nearer to this amazing event. Now what we need is registration, so got your paperwork turned in ASAP :)

Love and Light,

Michael Christlieb

Weekly Inspiration #26
By Hannah Princic
Food For Thought:Once upon a time... That is how all fairy tales begin, and in a fairy tale there is a prince who saves the damsel in distress. There is also some sort of witty twist in each story. How often have you found yourself reflecting back to your childhood days thinking about how everything seems to work out in the movies and story book stories... and question why things don't work out like that for you in your life? Well, we all do it, question why Cinderella happened to fit the slipper; why Snow White got to sleep and woke up the "fairest of them all;" how come it was a coincidence that Shrek had to save Fionna and they fell in love. Why Nemo got taken by Diver Dan but saved and returned by a pelican and a very confused fish.
Things all seem to work out so well in those stories but at the end of each story there is a lesson/ moral to learn. You can make your life what ever kind of fairy tale you want it to be, Remember, everything happens as a way for you to learn something greater in life or something about yourself.

Have you ever thought of a situation and plotted the eminent doom of it? Do you find yourself the day that is coming up? Why? I find myself doing this too and I try to stop myself in those moments and realize, I am creating a bad day. If I focus all of my negative energy on a certain time period I am shutting out any opportunity for good things to happen during that time. Luckily, it works the exact same if you put in positive energy. So what are you waiting for??? Have a fabulous now, later, and always!!!
Regional happiness: The Region is at a very exciting time of the year. AWE events goin on, Unitreats happening, and getting prepared for June!! We are all so pumped to see everyone and let you in on what we have been planning! So get your paperwork in and keep the positive energy flowin'
Love and Light,

Weekly Inspiration:

By Hannah Princic

Did you know that the average person blinks 25 times per min. Or did you know that your heart beats anywhere between 75 and 100 times per min. Also that on an average we speak 20,000 words per day. Have you ever thought how fast we are going as humans. People say that now we are moving further and faster forward with technology, the way we think, how we eat and just about everything that we do....Has anyone any idea why we just started doing things at un-natural speeds? IF everything is going so fast , because were "modernizing" then how come the earth only moves .15 degrees in one minute out of 360?

The earth, the oldest and most supportive thing we have, moves at a slow rate. Its as though the earth know the natural speed things need to go, what the natural rhythm is. So again I ask, Why do we really go so fast and do things in a rush.Just take that extra moment to breath, you never know you might see something beautiful on the way.     :)
