What Are Fundraisers?

Our truth is that we are spiritual beings and cannot be limited by physical things. Although while we remain on this earth, money still is a useful tool which we utilize to assist our physical bodies through certian situations. Fundraisers are events dedicated to raising money for useful purposes. Due to the cost of hosting/attending events and dances, the entire Great Lakes Region fundraises to continue its active structure.

Regional Fundraisers

On a Regional level, fundraisers are held to raise money for:

-materials given away at events

-guest speakers attending events

-materials to run events

-traveling costs for planning meetings

-producing newsletters

There are three fundraisers held by the Great Lakes Region. First, at both Fall Retreat and June Rally a love offering is collected from the Y.O.U. and sponsor body. The money and our own prosperity is blessed with the love offering prayer found on the Event page. Second, a silent auction is held at June Rally. In this auction, all attending chapters bid freely on gifts brought by each other. Lastly, the region has just started a new fundraiser of producing Slide Show CD’s that contain pictures from events throughout the year to sell to the Y.O.U. and sponsor body.

Chapter Fundraisers

Chapters fundraise with numerous intentions- the most expensive being attending Regional events and Sub-Regional events and dances. Attending any event requires money for transportation and food to and from the event, and the cost of the actual event.

Here are some successful ideas used by chapters. Feel free to contact respective chapters for details.
