Food for Thought: In Spanish class this last week our final projects were due. While most people, including me, took the easy way out making a board game or a power point with a friend, a girl in my class Shelby, made a Prezzi. For those of you who don’t know what that is, it’s just a fancy power point. But her making one wasn’t the amazing part. What she made her project about was the inspirational thing.

For spring break, her and her family went to Mexico. They stayed in this little home a few hours away from Cancun next door to their friends who had moved there a few years earlier. She said that during her spring break she had helped her neighbors start a foundation to help orphans in Mexico. Later, her family all sat down and talked. They decided that they are going to move to Mexico for a year and build and orphanage. I can honestly say, this is the one and only presentation i payed attention to the entire time. Let alone made an impact on me. She said there is an estimated 100 children per orphanage in Mexico.

This got me thinking. I have a pretty decent sized home, with 4 people in it including me. Those 4 people? My family, who are all still alive and well. So i spent this week thinking of everything good I have in my life and how grateful I should be. And this week has been a wonderful one! I’ve been able to sleep better than I have in a very long time, school has hardly been stressing me out and all of my relationships have thrived. Since I began sending out good vibes to my life, good vibes came to me in return. I encourage you to do what I did. See what happens! Who knows? Something magical could happen!
