Fun Fact:The human eye blinks an average of 4,200,000 times a year.

Quote:Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no
path and leave a trail. -Harold R. McAlindon

Bible Quote:He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that
ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.
Proverbs, 16. 32

Service Project: The elderly are a very important part of our society. My hope for this
week is to try and get as many of you as possible to try and volunteer at a nursing home.
Most nursing homes are ALWAYS accepting requests to help out, and volunteering their

can be

just as beneficial to you, as it is to those you help out in return. Living in these places can tend to get a little lonely, and people are always excited when youth take theoppertunity to come and visit. The stories you can hear, and the wisdom that you can gain from talking with these folks is invaluable. It's a great way to honor the elderly, and agreat chance to have some fun and get hours to boot!

Weekly Affirmation: I love... and am loved, unconditionally!

Food For Thought: As some of you may know, Sarah and I had a planning week in
Chicago not too long ago. I want to share something with you that happened at the end of
our time together. Sarah and I had decided to leave a little early so that I could be sure
that I would get on my bus and that there would be no rushing. We found a fantastic
parking spot. (Which is apparently very difficult in Chicago) Only to realize that we didn;t
have any money for the parking meter. Now when we pulled into the spot, Sarah and I
were talking, trying to figure out how we would resolve this. It just so happened that the
man who had parked in front of us, had just returned from his time in the city. He saw us
talking, and must have assumed what was going on. He then took something from his
dash, came back to us with his time ticket and gave it to us, saying "Here guys, I have
this for about another hour, go ahead and take it, and have a nice day." Wow! Not only
did this complete stranger help us out, it couldn't have been at a more perfect time. So
what I want to say is that... If given the chance, take a minute out of your time appreciate
those around you. We are all one, and we should treat each other as such. This act made
my day, and I couldn't wait to share it with all of you. Even the smallest things can make
the biggest difference.

Note From Jo: I have had the honor of doing lessons at Renaissance Unity and
yesterday after the meditation, we did a mirror activity where each person sat across from
a partner and looked into their eyes seeing them as a mirror. Then together said
affirmations such as, "I am You" "You are me" "I see the Christ in your eyes" "I am a
channel of God's expression" and several other affirmations. What if we actually did this
in our lives and saw each person as a mirror, knowing that how we treated another
person, we are treating ourselves. Knowing to hurt another, we hurt ourselves. When
we know the nature of God sufficiently, we know our unity with each person and thus it
would be unthinkable to hurt another. Are we being deceived by the seeming
advancement of science and technology, believing that we are highly civilized? Is our
world still conquering, killing and exploiting fellow man for self profit? When you watch
the news it sure seems that way. So my Unity friends, we are the "seeds" to bring new
thinking and "being" into manifestation. To "Seek God, " Know God and "Be God" by
finding the kingdom of heaven within and be that expression.
"The Golden Rule" pretty much says it !!
What the Regional Team has been up to: Well, this weekend we are at it again with
another big planning session, this time Sarah and Junior will be flying out to Michigan to
meet with Jo and continue to add and improve. Fall Retreats getting so close I can almost
feel it. =]

Love, Your Regional Team,
Jo, Sarah, and Junior
