Weekly Inspiration #19
November 16, 2009
By: Junior Nickleson
This month is November and our power of the moth is:
Renunciation
Renunciation and Release is the focus of our power for this month. Now is the time to allow ourselves to let go of all of our false beliefs... About our worries and our tensions, and allow for us to surrender to spirit. When we quiet down all of our clutter, we free our hears to listen to our divine self, and our inspiration has a chance to shine forth! Renunciation is represented in colour as Russet, and in person as the disciple Thaddeus. Allow yourself to let go this month, and clear room for new experiences.
Weekly Affirmation: God is with me, raising me to the consciousness of release, I acknowledge the cleansing, purifying presence of spirit within me!
Fact for the week: The heart of giraffe is two feet long, and can weigh as much as twenty four pounds. Talk about a big heart!
Bible Quote: "Keep alert, stand firm in your faith, be courageous, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love."--1 Corinthians 16:13-14
I want to invite you to take a look at this man named Juan Mann and see how easy it is to create a loving world around us. We are all here together and we should all take a moment to remember to "Love thy Neighbor as Thy Self" One thing EVERY one of us has in common is that we are ALL here together. Think how wonderful the world would be if we all just took the time to give everyone a Free Hug.
Branching Out: This week something interesting about Hinduism. There are many different branches of Hinduism that have different worship systems. Some have different Gods or Goddesses that represent different things such as Shiva, Ganesh, and Parvati who all have a different purpose. Their Gods/Goddesses create a cycle that they use to represent life
"Foot-Prints" One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with God. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand; one belonging to him, and the other to God. When the last scene of his life flashed before him he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life. This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it. "God, you said that once I decided listen, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me." God replied, "My precious, precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."

Sometimes, when we are stressed, or are caught in a rough spot... We sometimes feel like we are in this by ourselves, and it can be a lonely prospect. It's in these times where we are faced with challenges that force us to ascend to the next level. Even if things may seem hopeless, or if things just can't possibly get better... Just take a minute to realize that we are never alone. We are all one with each other, and we are all one with spirit. There will never be a time in our lives where our higher level of consciousness isn't available for us to reach. So allow yourself to release the notion that you're "In this alone" and embrace the connectivity we have with one another. And this doesn't stop at a metaphysical connection. Sometimes our lives need extra help, and that's what friends are for. Those people around us who have honored us by allowing us to be their friends can be the best medicine for a case of the blues. So remember, because we are one with God and with one another, we are NEVER alone.

What the Regional Team's Doing: Sarah and I have just been bouncing off the walls with ideas that we cant wait to put into action. It's almost time to start preparing for June, and we have so many things we want to show you so keep your eyes peeled and hopefully you'll be experiencing it with us soon!
Note from Jo:
Have you ever taken a class that you wondered why you had to take it, what does this class have to do
with the rest of my life?    So you barely did what you needed to do to get through it.  Well, you have that same decision to make when it co
mes to learning and understanding the Five Principles of Unity and the 12 Powers.  When you really apply yourself to learning and understanding them and then using them in your life,  it is very powerful.  It is your choice - you can ignore the teachings and then later in life wonder why your life is not working.  These are powerful tools that can impact your life now and also when you are out of Y.O.U.  This is why I feel so strongly about Y.O.U. and why I have worked in it for the past 15 years.  Honor your human nature and understand your Divne nature, it is your choice.......................
Chapter Happenings: Westlake
Our chapter is hosting what is being called a "special event".  We are doing joy songs, meditation, spirit dancing, prayers lighting a Christ candle and leading some of the activities from fall retreat, like the Ha-Ha game, Back to Back, Raindrop-Sun, the Cinnamon Hug....to name a few.  This is an inter-generational event. We did it last year after the fall retreat, many people in our community had never done spirit dancing before and the youth led the event, it was very good for the adults to see and experience the power and love and spirit of the youth.  I am so joyful that we are sharing ourselves more with our community and that they are receptive to us.
With Peace, Love, and a Free Hug,
Your Regional Team
Junior, Sarah, and Jo
